According to the state of wear, the ballscrew and / or the nut may be re-ground. When the state of the ballscrew does not allow a repair, we propose the fabrication of a new ballscrew, strictly interchangeable with the received one. | |

Standard repair options | ||
Option 1: Refurbishment and re-ball | ||
![]() | This involves all the components being thoroughly cleaned; the shaft is checked for straightness and re-straightened if necessary. Any damage to journals and threads is repaired and the whole shaft is then polished. The unit is then rebuilt and the correct preload torque is set. | |
![]() | We have an extensive range of over 50 million ball bearings in grade 5 and grade 10 precision that cover both imperial and metric sizes. | |
Option 2: Regrind shaft and new nut | ||
![]() | If the ballscrew has suffered fatigue damage in the balltrack, our next option is then to regrind the shaft and manufacture new nut. | |
